Plans I accept

- Cigna and Evernorth
- Cigna EAP

Don’t see your plan listed? Feel free to reach out! Many insurance plans include out-of-network benefits that may reimburse you for a portion of your therapy costs.
If I’m in-network with your plan, your session fee and any applicable copay, coinsurance, or deductible are determined by your insurance benefits, so my sliding scale does not apply.
If I’m not in-network with your plan, I can provide a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement isn’t guaranteed, and submitting a superbill typically requires a mental health diagnosis that becomes part of your insurance record. I’m happy to discuss private-pay options with you, too.

Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is offered on a private-pay basis and is not billed to insurance. Insurance coverage generally requires treatment to be connected to a covered mental health diagnosis, which can influence the focus and structure of sessions. I want our work to focus on your relationship and the goals you bring into therapy, rather than being limited by insurance requirements.
Depending on your insurance plan and clinical circumstances, you may have out-of-network benefits that could help reimburse a portion of the cost. You’re welcome to check with your insurance provider about your coverage. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed, and insurance may require a mental health diagnosis for one partner.
If you have questions about fees, insurance, or whether therapy with me might be a good fit, you’re always welcome to reach out.
Frequently asked
Goodquestions
How do I book a session?
I’m glad you’re considering taking this step! You can reach me by calling or texting 951-595-7273 or emailing jackie.beinghuman@gmail.com. We’ll connect briefly to talk about what you’re looking for, answer any questions you have, and figure out the next steps together. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. I’m happy to help you get started!
Do you offer virtual or in-person services?
At this time, I only offer Telehealth services, allowing us to meet virtually from the comfort and privacy of your own space. You must be physically located in California at the time of your session, and you’ll need a private space where you feel comfortable talking with a reliable internet connection.
What will we discuss during the intake call?
The intake call is a chance for us to connect briefly, talk about what brings you to therapy, and see whether working together might be a good fit. You can share a little about what you’ve been experiencing, what you’re hoping for, and any questions you have about my approach, fees, or availability.
You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. This isn’t a therapy session, and there’s no pressure to share your whole story in one phone call. It’s simply an opportunity for us to get a feel for whether moving forward together feels right.
What happens during our first session?
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, and begin exploring what you’d like to be different. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, but there’s no pressure to share everything all at once. Just as importantly, it’s a chance for you to get a feel for me and decide whether working together feels like a good fit.
How long does therapy take?
There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline for therapy. Some people come in with a specific concern they’d like help navigating, while others want to spend more time understanding themselves and their relationship patterns. My goal is to help you start feeling better as soon as we can, without rushing past the deeper work that supports lasting change.
We’ll check in along the way about how therapy is feeling, what you’re noticing, and what you need. My goal is for our work to feel purposeful and meaningful to you.
Should I do individual therapy or couples therapy?
It depends on what you’re hoping to work on! Individual therapy offers space to explore your own emotions, experiences, and relationship patterns, while couples therapy focuses on the dynamics between you and your partner and how you can work toward a healthier connection together.
Sometimes, relationship struggles bring up personal experiences or patterns that are helpful to explore individually. Other times, working together as a couple is the best place to start. And sometimes, both partners can benefit from individual support alongside couples therapy with appropriate coordination of care.
You don’t have to know which option is right for you before reaching out. We can talk through what you’re experiencing during the intake call and explore which approach might best support your needs.
How much do sessions cost?
My standard rates are $200 for a 50-minute individual therapy session and $275 for an 80-minute couples therapy session. I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee appointments when available. If cost is a concern, please feel free to reach out and ask about sliding-scale availability.
Do you accept insurance?
I accept select insurance plans for individual therapy. Because coverage varies by plan, I encourage you to reach out if you’re unsure whether I accept your insurance. If I’m in-network with your plan, your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your specific benefits, including any deductible, copay, or coinsurance.
How do I reach you?
You can call or text me at 951-595-7273 or email me at jackie.beinghuman@gmail.com. Text messages and emails are intended for scheduling purposes or to request a phone call or session, rather than for discussing personal or therapeutic concerns.
I typically respond during normal business hours and aim to get back to you by the next business day at the latest, unless I’m on vacation or out sick. I appreciate your patience if I’m away, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
What are your typical hours of availability?
I typically offer sessions Monday–Friday during regular business hours. I’ve intentionally structured my schedule this way so I can show up for my clients while also making space for what matters most to me outside of work: my family. I believe caring for ourselves and making room for the people we love is an important part of a healthy, balanced life.
What should I do if I’m in crisis or need immediate support?
While I aim to support you through difficult seasons, my practice isn’t equipped to provide crisis intervention or 24/7 support. If you’re experiencing a mental health crisis or feel you may be in immediate danger, please call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7. If you or someone else is in immediate physical danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
If you’re an existing client experiencing a difficult time but aren’t in immediate crisis, you’re welcome to reach out during business hours to discuss scheduling a session. You deserve support, even when things feel overwhelming.
